Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the “Bambir” rock band, leaded by Gagik Barseghyan (Jag), the founder and the aesthetic director of the band. Smavel Balasanyan congratulated the musician with his 60th birthday anniversary by noting his significant role in the Armenian music art.
In his turn Gagik Barseghyan thanked the mayor for the attention and warm attitude and mentioned that being appreciated is very important for every musician. Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan added that the “Bambir” band has kept Gyumri’s honor high and presented a Gyumri mayor medal to Gagik Barseghyan for his 60th birthday anniversary for his significant contribution in modern Armenian music art.

The problems that you set to solve are complicated and directly influence the continuing strengthening of our statehood, thus this is the reason that the requirements towards your job are even stricter. High sense of responsibility, skillfulness, human qualities and patriotism must help you solve all of your problems with success.
Gyumri mayor visited the 7th job fair organized in Gyumri hosted by more employers including Gyumri municipality. The fair was organized by the “State Employment Agency” and Gyumri regional employment center.
The mayor prioritized holding this type of events in Gyumri considering the big amount of the unemployed and underlined that it is quite a productive method for creating ties between the employer and the unemployed residents. At the end of the tour around the fair, Samvel Balasanyan expressed his confidence that the vacancies presented at the job fair will be replenished with specialists.
Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia Mr. Tian Changchun. The mayor greeted the ambassador and prioritized the deepening of the Armenian-Chinese relationships, marking the memorandum of understanding signed between Gyumri and Xi’an back in 2013.
Tian Changchun thanked for warm welcome and also prioritized the boost of further bilateral relationships and underlined that the implementation of local projects have always been in the center of his attention. The ambassador also added that there is a big potential for cooperation in information technologies and other spheres.
Today, on June 21, Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan met with Akhalkalaki leadership and Georgian Parliament Member Samvel Petrosyan on his working visit to Georgia. During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of deepening the prospects of cultural ties between Gyumri and Akhalkalaki. They also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest. Other meetings are also planned during this working visit.
