By the invitation of the Polish side Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan pays a working visit to Kraków and met with the city mayor Jacek Majchrowski. During the meeting Jacek MajchrowskI welcomed Samvel Balasanyan and presented the history of their city, the current situation as well as informed about the activities of the Armenian community in Kraków. Samvel Balasanyan thanked his Polish colleague for receiving him and for the readiness to deepen the relationships between two cities as well as presented the history of Gyumri and the social-economic current situation.

 On behalf of Gyumri citizens I heartily congratulate one of the greatest Armenian’s; the world famous chansonnier’s 90th birthday and wishe him strong health, inner energy and long life. For many years you have amazed generations with your magnificent creative activities by earning words of admiration and gratitude. Being the honorable devotee for the people of Armenia and France, you are one of biggest artists of our time, who keeps the name and the honor of the Armenian high in the world.

I congratulate you on the occasion of the International Museum Day.
This is one of the occasions for our citizens to one more time get together in the museum, by mentioning the visitor-generation-culture connection, considering the importance of museum creation which creates the connection. Gyumri is rich in museums due to its historic cultural great heritage. Today, our museums present and exhibit their collection both to local and foreign visitors.

 Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the delegation of the EU ambassadors during the framework of the “Europe Day” leaded by the EU ambassador Traian Hristea, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy Giovanni Ricciulli, the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden Martina Quick, the deputy dead of mission of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Amias Moores, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Reiner Morell and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania Erikas Petrikas.
