Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received Russian Federaton Domodedovo city delegation on October 3rd 2014, led by Nikolay Danilenko also hosted by the honorary council of the Russian Federation in  Gyumri Evgeni Konishev.
Samvel Balasanyan first greeted the delegation and expressed his hope that the forming friendship relationships will have great prospects between the two cities, in particular considering beautiful cultural and sports traditions of both of the cities.

 Dear teachers, I congratulate you on the occasion of Teacher's Day, which we celebrate with special warmth and gratitude. At all times the highest demands were put in front the Armenian teacher, but she received all the challenges with honor being in the center of social, political and historical events and acting as the national carrier of culture and science. The teacher's role in shaping society is undeniable. The mission of the Armenian teacher is not only the transmission of knowledge but also the formation of the individual into a worthy son for the country.

 On October 3^rd 2014, Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received German students and the representatives from the “Armenian Project”. At the beginning of the meeting Samvel Balasanyan congratulated the German friends on the occasion of Germany’s Day of Unity afterwards touched upon the significance of projects of this kind which strengthens the relationships between two nations.
