On April 27, Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the leaded delegation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia H.E.Mr. Tian Erlong. In his welcoming speech, Samvel Balasanyan briefly introduced the history, cultural potential and investment environment of Gyumri. Samvel Balasanyan highly evaluated the cooperation between Xi'an and Gyumri cities, within the framework of which Gyumri joined the Silk Road memorandum. In his speech the Ambassador highlighted the historical economic recovery of the network, as well as the establishment of effective cooperation, including economic, industrial and other spheres. The two sides expressed their willingness to contribute to the strengthening and development of bilateral ties.
