 Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the delegation of the EU ambassadors during the framework of the “Europe Day” leaded by the EU ambassador Traian Hristea, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy Giovanni Ricciulli, the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden Martina Quick, the deputy dead of mission of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Amias Moores, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany Reiner Morell and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania Erikas Petrikas. At the beginning of the meeting the mayor first thanked the honorable guests on the launch of the “Europe Day” project in Gyumir, then briefly introduced the city’s social, urban construction, cultural and sports overall conditions, as well as the implemented and future plans.
The mayor prioritized the need of deepening the relationships between different European cities and Gyumri, mentioning that the republic’s second city already had an experience of that kind with cities of France, Poland and Greece. The ambassadors thanked the mayor for his support on the “Europe Day” project then the sides exchanged different ideas of their interest.
