April 23, 2014: Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received Grigor Mkhitaryan (sambo), Lendrush Zatikyan (sambo) and Artur Alexanyan (wrestling), the European championship winners and medal awardees.
At the beginning of the meeting the mayor congratulated and thanked the athletes for keeping Gyumri’s athletic honor high. Samvel Balasanyan highly appreciates the coaches’ efforts and hoped for more victories in the future. The coaches encouraged the sportsman not to be satisfied with the recent achievements and to aspire for higher results.
At the end of the meeting Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan handed cash awards to the athletes and promised to hereafter support the development of sports in the city.
