Dear citizens of Gyumri,
The year 2013 is coming to an end. This year can be described as a year of hope, great achievements and major cultural events. In 2013 Gyumri was the CIS Cultural Capital and enjoyed being the world’s spotlight.
Our city was visited by many guests and hundreds of tourists during the whole year. Many reports and films about our city were shown in different TV channels and media. In short, there was liveliness in sport and cultural fields.
2013 was the year of construction and improvement for Gyumri. We were able to make a total of 170 thousand square meters of asphalting with the local and state budget means. Modern traffic lights as well as street lights were installed in different parts of the city. Trees and shrubs were planted everywhere. This is just the beginning of the road that we are going to pass together the coming years.
But still Gyumri has many problems and we should overcome all these problems jointly with the hope of bright future for our beloved city.
Dear citizens,
of course we managed to record noticeable improvement, but there are also many unfulfilled ideas and there are lots of unfinished works, which will be aimed at the development and bringing to life of our dream city.
I am sure that the effective use of the existing prospects and potential will give us a chance to implement a better life for our ambition, so please meet 2014 with optimism and faith.
