Today you are entering a new life with the new and bold goals and dreams and together with your school knowledge, invaluable humanitarian and patriotic values, you will be able to overcome any challenges and contribute to flourishing of our independent land. Many of you have already chosen the future profession and your way of life; others are still standing in front of a responsible choice. I am more than sure that you will make the right choice and become the worthy heirs of our heroic ancestors and newly independent state. I also congratulate the teachers and the parents and hope that all their dreams connected with them will come true.Good luck, dear graduates.
On May 17, Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the EU Member-State Ambassadors led by Traian Hristea the head of the EU delegation to Armenia. Samvel Balasanyan highly evaluated the programs implemented by the EU in Armenia and expressed his willingness to support the development of joint projects in Gyumri.

On April 27, Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the leaded delegation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia H.E.Mr. Tian Erlong. In his welcoming speech, Samvel Balasanyan briefly introduced the history, cultural potential and investment environment of Gyumri. Samvel Balasanyan highly evaluated the cooperation between Xi'an and Gyumri cities, within the framework of which Gyumri joined the Silk Road memorandum.
