On November 25, Gyumri city mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the delegation headed by Bruno Kaufmann-the deputy mayor of Falun city in Sweden. Bruno Kaufmann paid a preliminary visit. Welcoming the guests, Samvel Balasanyan raised the issue of publicity of community activity, taking into consideration the fact that Gyumri is the first community in Armenia where a live broadcasting is supported during the meetings of Council of Elders. The media and the society are close with the local government, which leads to quick problem solving. In his turn Bruno Kaufmann thanked for the warm welcome stressing that he heard a lot about Gyumri and wished to visit personally the cultural capital of Armenia. The parties also highlighted the role of Council of Elders in their communities. At the end of the meeting Bruno Kaufmann answered to reporters’ questions.
