On November 29, Gyumri mayor Samvel Balasanyan received the president of boxing federation and the Member of Parliament Artur Gevorgyan. Gyumri mayor talked about the remarkable episodes in the history of boxing in Gyumri as well as about the existing problems. According to the president of the federation, in spite of all problems this kind of sport has perspective. He also mentioned about the importance of close cooperation with regional organizations.
As a president of Shirak region boxing federation, Samvel Balasanyan mentioned that they do their best to provide with appropriate conditions for the prospective athletes, although the local opportunities are extremely limited.
In his turn Artur Gevorgyan highlighted the involvement of representatives of the regions in the federation, which will ensure an effective work with the provinces as well as will increase the level of competitiveness. Other issues concerning the boxing development were discussed during the meeting.
